Recall the happy moments of your day
Even with all the mysteries of this universe, human desires continue to take the front seat in our lives. They give us hope, direction but sometimes take over our minds and rob us from our own life.
Across times and places, this desire for more - more love, more wealth, more power - is a common calling for us all.
But in today’s world, this feeling, these desires are stronger than ever. Everywhere we look - on our phones, on TV, even when we talk to others - we see things that make us feel little, like we’re missing out, we even named it as FOMO, FOBO etc. Be it instagram or linked in, all the “GOOD” things in the world are amplified and showed up to our faces. We are constantly reminded of what we don’t have, making us want even more, creating jealousy and various insecurities.
But what we really desire is happiness and happiness doesn’t come from endlessly chasing more, chasing more only gives you more emptiness. Consider the possibility that — what you have right now is someone’s dream life.
Desires are good, but real happiness comes from finding a balance between our big desires and learning to appreciate what we already have. As they say, count your blessings, it’s good for your well-being. Be grateful.
